Supervise the care, prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of injuries for student athletes within the University's athletic program. Coordinate medical coverage for competitions and collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to deliver care.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and BOC certification as an Athletic Trainer, with a Master's degree preferred. Must hold or be eligible for Virginia State Athletic Training Licensure.
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization is required and a Master’s degree is preferred. Must possess and maintain Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an Athletic Trainer, or be pending results of the BOC examination and have Virginia State Athletic Training Licensure or be eligible to attain licensure by time of hire. Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the BOC by start date. It is preferable that applicants have some familiarity with NCAA governing rules. This position is required to report Clery qualifying crimes to the Department of Public Safety and complete annual training about your reporting responsibilities under the law. Physical Requirements: Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
