About the role

Provide direct support and behavioral intervention for students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Collaborate with families and teachers to implement behavioral strategies and maintain progress documentation.

Starting Pay Range

$19.00 - $22.00 - Hourly

Job Description

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following

Provide direct support and care to students.

Responsible for intervening with students’ behavioral and emotional concerns.

Support the students using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Support students in improving their communication skills, social skills, school readiness and self-management skills.

Learn specialized behavior techniques and implement behavioral strategies under the guidance of the supervisor.

Work collaboratively with the students’ families, teachers, and other professionals.

Maintain records and documentation of student progress and adhere to prescribed behavioral plans.

Attend required training and staff meetings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

Ability to connect with students.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working knowledge of office equipment, technology, and softwares such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Ability to travel to various locations.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, General Education or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with students is preferred.
  • Working towards ABA, BIS, or RBT Certification is a plus.
