The Individualized Support Facilitator works with teachers and students to facilitate Special Education learning within the classroom. They provide extensive support to students based on their specific achievement levels and behavioral needs while collaborating with supervisors for student success.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma, GED, or an Associate degree, and pass the Navigator Schools Instructional Employee Assessment. They should demonstrate a commitment to student success, flexibility, and the ability to handle basic correspondence and calculations.
● One of the following: AA/AS degree, High School Diploma or GED, and ‘Pass’ on the Navigator Schools Instructional Employee Assessment ● Commitment to student success and learning ●Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field ● Reliance on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions ● Desire to improve professionally, open to receiving coaching and feedback ● Flexible to a changing work environment; always presents with a positive attitude ● Ability to read and write simple correspondence ● Exhibits effective communication skills ● Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as budgets, interest, proportions, and percentages ● Demonstrated commitment to modeling the qualities of a Navigator graduate: continual improvers, academic scholars, creative problem solvers, courageous change-makers, and collaborative teammates
