Early Childhood Education Teacher

The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to create engaging learning experiences that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.

This role focuses on implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive classroom environment, and helping children build the foundational skills needed for future academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and language development Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Observe and document children's developmental progress Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence through hands-on learning Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities and child development Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

BA or AA in Early Childhood Education preferred; CDA accepted Prior experience working in an early childhood classroom preferred Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication and teamwork skills Passion for creating positive learning experiences for young children Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
