The teacher will instruct eighth-grade English and seventh-grade Study Strategies while incorporating principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Responsibilities include preparing course objectives, leading parent-teacher conferences, and participating in co-curricular school activities.
A bachelor's degree in English is required, with two to five years of teaching experience and a preference for middle school or special education backgrounds. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in teaching study strategies and a commitment to culturally responsive teaching.

The Middle School English teacher will teach three (3) sections of eighth-grade English and two (2) sections of seventh-grade Study Strategies. With 284 students in the sixth through eighth grades, the Pace Academy Middle School is a vibrant learning environment that provides an innovative academic program within a nurturing community. Our expert teachers create meaningful learning opportunities for students through lessons that emphasize academic excellence, critical thinking, empathy, and integrity.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as possess an outgoing personality, an ability to be flexible, and the willingness to work collaboratively with other faculty, administration, and parents. Demonstrated experience teaching executive functioning skills to a variety of learners is essential.
