The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom. This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who enjoys creating a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports toddlers as they grow in independence, communication, and social skills.
Our center uses a consistent, play-based approach that helps children feel secure while exploring and learning through daily routines and hands-on experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a 2-year-old classroom in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate setting
Implement The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum through engaging, age-appropriate activities
Support daily routines including potty training, meals, rest time, and transitions
Mentor and guide assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and quality
Observe, document, and support children’s developmental progress
Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication
Maintain compliance with NJ DCF licensing requirements and center policies
Qualifications: CDA credential preferred
Minimum 6 months classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children (1+ year preferred)
Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
CPR and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to meet all New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
