We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Qualified for Infant/Toddler care to join our team at our Kidz First Academy & Infant Care Center of First Church of the Nazarene Long Beach. This role offers an opportunity to nurture and educate our youngest learners, ages 0-24 months, in a supportive, safe, and loving Christ-Centered environment.
Diapering, feeding, nap routines, sensory play. Support developmental milestones per CA Licensing, and your Center's curriculum. Manage Classroom routines, including lesson planning, transitions, discipline using positive reinforcement techniques. Plan age-appropriate activities: songs, Bible stories and verses, finger plays, art, etc. Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental goals, and support early intervention strategies. Follow Title 22 licensing, health/safety protocols, CPR First Aid requirements. Maintain accurate records, and a clean, organized classroom setting. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and devotions.
Valid certification in early childhood education with infant (3 units)/toddler care qualification, or equivalent credentials. Proven experience working with young children in preschool/infant care classroom setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. Enthusiasm and patience for working with infants and toddlers.
