The Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering academic instruction and fostering the spiritual and social development of students. Key duties include curriculum planning, assessing student learning, and maintaining a safe, disciplined classroom environment.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field and possess a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. State or ACSI teacher certification is required or in progress, with prior teaching experience preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Elementary Teacher is expected to serve the school community through the following core responsibilities:
· Convey information to students by using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids, such as projectors and computers. · Complete educational requirements by scheduling and assigning instructional activities and following up on results.
· Establish and adjust course outlines and objectives by following curriculum guidelines and state and school goals, and by modifying plans on the basis of student diagnostic and assessment procedures.
· Contribute to the spiritual growth of the programs by example, personal and professional studies, and personal devotions and worship. · Actively guide and disciple children with a servant-hearted approach.
· Assess student learning by preparing, administering, and scoring tests; reviewing and correcting assignments; eliciting student questions and responses; and evaluating application of learning to classroom project results. · Maintain student learning results by providing instructional feedback, coaching, counseling, and disciplining students, and by planning, monitoring, and appraising learning results.
· Guide students’ personal and social development by establishing rules and procedures for administrative classroom matters, student verbal participation, and student movement within the classroom, between classrooms, and on the playground. · Maintain records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
· Help parents by providing academic information, suggesting available educational and social resources, addressing parents’ concerns, and answering questions and requests.
· Contribute to the school’s effectiveness by identifying short- and long-term issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives. · Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. · Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional learning communities.

Education & Experience Requirements · Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field of study from an accredited institution. · Degree, certification, training, or demonstrated expertise in the assigned related arts discipline is highly preferred. · Prior teaching experience is preferred. · Current or in-progress State and/or ACSI teacher certification.
Physical Requirements · Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use office equipment for extended periods. · Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
