The assistant coach is responsible for recruiting and coaching the women's volleyball team while ensuring adherence to NCAA Division III guidelines. Key duties include developing practice plans, managing team travel, and supporting the academic and personal growth of student-athletes.
A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. Previous collegiate coaching and playing experience is preferred.
Recruit and maintain a competitive women’s team. Support academic success and the holistic growth personal growth of student-athletes. Graduate successful student-athletes. Develop practice plans, evaluate films and implement competitive strategies. Work closely with admissions and other campus offices to recruit student-athletes Ability to maintain effective work relations with administration, faculty, staff and students. Plan season schedule and coordinate team travel. Assist with event management during non-traditional season. Collaborate with athletics communication to maintain the Volleyball social media accounts. Organize team fundraising and community service opportunities. Demonstrate a working knowledge of and adhere to NCAA Division III compliance rules to maintain the integrity of the program and athletic department. Represent Spalding University and our athletic department in an exemplary fashion. QualificationsSKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree is required Collegiate coaching and playing experience preferred. INTERRELATIONS: Regular or daily contact with administration, admissions, faculty, staff, and students. Regular contact with the general public.
