In this role, you will step into diverse classroom environments to provide seamless instructional continuity when the regular teacher is absent. • 🎯 what you’ll be doing
• Prepare the classroom space and materials in accordance with provided lesson plans
• Lead student instruction and maintain behavioral expercations
• Manage daily classroom tasks, including taking attendance, monitoring hall passes, and supervising lunch or recess periods as required
• Document student progress and classroom happenings through detailed end-of-day reports to ensure the permanent teacher is fully informed upon their return.
• Support students with learning and classroom activities
• Help manage behavior using positive reinforcement
• Assist during lunch, recess, and school activities
• Work closely with teachers and school staff

• ✅ basic requirements
• Bachelors Degree
• California Substitute teaching permit or California Teacher Certification
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Important Note about Certification: A valid California Substitute Permit is not required at the time of application; however, active progress toward certification is expected during the interview process. Full certification is a prerequisite for employment and must be obtained by June 30, 2026.

• Pass a background check
• Follow safety and reporting guidelines
• Complete required school clearances which you are responsible for paying.
• Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training.
