  • As a BrightBee school paraprofessional, you’ll support students in local schools—supporting their behavioral and socio-emotional goals as directed by each school site.

A hive is a geographical region of multiple school districts and sites that you (as a Bee) will be able to claim assignments at.
  • These assignments could be as short as a single day or as long as multiple week/months.
  • You should be willing/able to commute to various school sites in East Cleveland area to be considered.
  • What Type of Work is Available?
  • We’re recruiting paraprofessionals for East Cleveland Community Schools, Maple Heights Schools, and Orange City Schools What you will need: You have at least completed 48 college credit hours OR you have a passing score on the parapro assessment Comfort with paying for your background check and permit - as a 1099 independent contractor, you'll be eligible for bonus milestones to help cover these costs as you start taking assignments 🚀 Who This Is Perfect For You enjoy supporting behavioral growth for kids or teens You’re patient, reliable, and positive You’re looking for flexible and/or consistent work (several of our single day assignments convert to long-term opportunities) 🔐 Before You Start To keep students safe, as an independent contractor, you’ll need to: Pay & Pass a background check secure & pay your educational aide permit Follow safety and reporting guidelines 👉 Don’t stress—we guide you through every step.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position.
  • Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training.
