  • The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and wellbeing.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support class teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive, and child-centred learning experiences.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
  • Help create and maintain a stimulating, well-organised, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development using supportive approaches.
  • Assist in observing, recording, and sharing student progress with teaching staff.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
  • Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, school trips, and events.
  • Assist with preparation of learning materials, classroom displays, and resources.
  • Contribute to classroom routines, transitions, and day-to-day organisation.
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and child protection policies at all times.
  • THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Relevant experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional conduct expectations in schools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • A warm, patient, and proactive approach, with high expectations for pupil behaviour and engagement.
  • Flexibility and a collaborative mindset, with willingness to support across a range of classroom and school activities.
  • Ability to support learning effectively in both group and one-to-one settings, including behaviour and classroom management.
  • Experience in an international or diverse school environment (desirable).
  • Additional language skills relevant to the school location (advantageous but not essential).
