• Anthony Cathedral Basilica School is seeking a caring, dependable, and joyful Part-Time Prekindergarten Aide to assist the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment.

• Primary Responsibilities Classroom Support Assist with daily classroom routines and instructional activities Support students during centers, play, transitions, and outdoor activities Prepare and organize classroom materials Reinforce classroom expectations and routines Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization Student Care & Supervision Ensure safety and well-being of all students Assist with restroom, hygiene, dressing, and meals/snacks Encourage independence and positive behavior Provide additional support to students as needed Support of Learning Environment Promote attentiveness, order, and joyful learning Reinforce habits such as listening, courtesy, and perseverance Support imaginative play and hands-on learning Model patience, respect, and Christian values Help maintain an orderly, welcoming classroom Classroom Culture Foster a peaceful, positive environment Model kindness, patience, and respect Participate in prayer and Catholic traditions Collaboration Work cooperatively with teachers and staff Communicate student concerns appropriately Assist with events, classroom projects, and activities

Requirements

Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with young children preferred School, childcare, church, or volunteer experience a plus Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Patience, flexibility, and positive attitude Ability to work as part of a team Dependable and professional Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs Ability to actively supervise young children indoors and outdoors
