Description The Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats children with speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding or swallowing disorders. The SLP develops and implements individualized, evidence-based treatment plans to support communication and developmental outcomes. This position collaborates with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, child-centered services while ensuring compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations Diagnose speech and language disorders and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide direct therapy services using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based practices Monitor, document, and analyze client progress; adjust treatment plans as needed Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support carryover of skills Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with professional, regulatory, and payer requirements Provide parent and caregiver education and training to support communication development Ensure services are delivered in compliance with ASHA standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations Maintain licensure, certification, and required continuing education
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) Experience or training in pediatric assessment and intervention Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric speech and language treatment approaches Experience working in pediatric clinic, school-based, or early intervention settings Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders (as applicable to the role) Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and interdisciplinary teams Familiarity with documentation and billing requirements for insurance or school-based services
