Swim Team Coach - Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatic Center

• Thornton Aquatic Family YMCA is seeking a part time, experienced swim team coach for our swim team!
• This part time position starts at $15.00 per hour.
• DUTIES of a Swim Team Coach This position is responsible for providing workouts, instructions, motivation, and support to our swim team.
• Focus should be on creating a safe and fun environment.
• This position serves as the primary coach on deck during team practices and is expected to lead practices 2-4 nights a week.
• QUALIFICATIONS of a Swim Team Coach Current Professional CPR, AED and First Aid and YMCA/or American Red Cross Lifeguard/or Ellis certification are required as well as the ability to perform all four strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle).
• YMCA Swim Instructor or WSI, current O2 certification, and competitive swimming experience are desired as well as experience coaching and managing team practices several days a week.
• Qualified candidates should have a strong sense of teamwork and ability to collaborate with other coaches and team leaders.
