Provide and coordinate comprehensive medical care, emergency planning, and rehabilitation for assigned sports. Oversee undergraduate student assistants and perform administrative duties for the sports medicine department.
Requires a Master's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field, NATABOC certification, and eligibility for Tennessee licensure. Minimum of one year of experience as a graduate assistant or post-graduate intern with an NCAA or professional sports team is required.
This position will provide and coordinate all required medical care and coverage for the assigned sport(s) including but not limited to; emergency medical planning and care, acute injury evaluation and treatment, short and long term rehabilitation program creation and implementation, physician medical referrals, injury prevention screening, and physiological recovery strategies. This position will oversee undergraduate student assistants for the assigned sport(s) and fulfill administrative duties assigned by the Assoc Director of Sports Medicine/East Athletic Training Room Manager, or Sr Assoc AD of Sports Medicine & Sports Performance.
