Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment to promote the development of young children. Assist with lesson planning, daily activities, and maintaining communication with families while ensuring child safety and confidentiality.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications. Candidates must enroll in a Child Development Associate (CDA) program to be completed within two years of hire.
$15.30 per hour (Level 15 - non-exempt position)

What You’ll Do Support a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development Assist the Lead Teacher with lesson planning, curriculum implementation, documentation, and daily classroom activities Provide positive guidance and build strong relationships that support children’s learning and family engagement Prepare classroom materials and maintain routines that support healthy habits, including nutrition and self-care practices Serve as Lead Teacher in their absence, helping coordinate and manage daily classroom operations Maintain communication with families and staff while ensuring confidentiality, completing required trainings, and following mandated reporting responsibilities
What We’re Looking For High School Diploma or GED required Must enroll in a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program (to be completed within 2 years of hire) CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive relationships with children and families Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with initiative and sound judgment Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children in an early learning setting
