The Clinician in Training works under a BCBA mentor to manage a shared caseload and accelerate client success. Responsibilities include creating learner materials, conducting assessments, and assisting with the training of Behavior Technicians.
Candidates must be in the final stages of supervision, waiting for the BCBA exam, or newly certified with at least 1650 accrued supervision hours. Physical ability to lift and transport clients up to 30 pounds is required.
Description We’re building ‘the’ Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy — a category of one by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across what we do.
Our centers are open Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm. We primarily work with children between the ages of 2-9 in a center-based environment.
The Clinician in Training is an entry level Behavior Analyst role that is designed to give the candidate a hands-on training experience by pairing them with an experienced BCBA who will serve as their mentor as they go through the CiT Training sequence. The CiT has a primary responsibility to accelerate client success through responsibilities delegated by their assigned BCBA mentor. By sharing a caseload and pod, the mentor BCBA will serve as a model as the CiT learns all of the responsibilities and tasks that they would need to complete as a Behavior Analyst.

achieving remarkable progress with children, creating a great team that enjoys working together, and building a workplace that fosters internal career paths and growth for our team members. Our dedication to progress led us to a pivotal moment. Recognizing the potential of center-based care, we opened our first center in Indiana in 2010. This wasn’t just about location; it shifted our philosophy. Centers allowed us to create consistent, nurturing environments tailored to each child’s needs.
This shift became the cornerstone of our success. Today, Bierman Autism Centers are beacons of innovative care across Arizona, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, and Rhode Island. We offer ABA therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Diagnostic Services within center-based settings designed for the comprehensive development of our children.
Market context
In Arizona, clinician-in-training roles are often tied to active supervision pathways and readiness for BCBA certification, so demand tends to follow clinic, school, and behavioral health staffing needs. These roles are competitive because employers look for candidates who are close to independent practice, meet supervision-hour requirements, and can handle the physical demands of client transport and support.
