As a Preschool Teacher at Southern Highlands Prep School, you will play an integral role in creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. You will support daily classroom operations, facilitate learning experiences, and help foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture. Support in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and daily classroom routines Foster students’ social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive guidance and interaction Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure consistency and quality in the learning experience Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and guardians, as needed Adhere to all school policies, safety procedures, and state licensing requirements What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructional guidance Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students Must meet all applicable state licensing, health, and background clearance requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
