Job description

  • Wilkes University invites applicants for a full time, Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in the Passan School of Nursing Undergraduate Department beginning August, 2026.
  • The Passan School of Nursing offers both undergraduate and graduate programs and is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • The successful candidate is responsible for didactic and clinical instruction within the undergraduate program.
  • The position requires specialization in Adult Health nursing and clinical experience reflecting that population.
  • Efficient teaching, mentoring, and advising are expected of all faculty members at Wilkes University.
  • Service to the university and community, as well as scholarly activities support the student-centered core.
  • A Doctorate in Nursing is required but candidates who are completing their PhD dissertation or scholarly project component of their DNP education will be considered.
  • An unencumbered RN license with eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania is also required.
  • The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, and current clinical competence.
  • The ideal candidate should have prior experience teaching at the college level.
  • Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
