Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Medical Assistant within the Nursing and Allied Health Division. This is a part-time position.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting instructional and programmatic activities as assigned while fostering a positive and collegial learning environment. Part-time employees are expected to uphold the College’s mission, vision, and values, and to comply with the Faculty Handbook and all applicable college policies and procedures.
This position reports directly to the Department Chair within the Nursing and Allied Health Division.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
Utilizes resources including lab to help students to learn.
Assesses student learning in accordance with college and department policy. Maintains a minimum of 10 office hours per week.
Meets all scheduled classes within the appropriate timeframe
Advises students and assist with registration, orientation, and recruitment as needed
Submits syllabi, office hours, grades, attendance electronic timesheets, and other reports by established deadlines.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
• A minimum of three (3) years of recent clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Teaching or Clinical instruction experience
