About the role

The teacher is responsible for delivering standards-based lessons and fostering the spiritual, academic, and social development of students. They must maintain a safe classroom environment and assess student progress through various formal and informal methods.

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job summary

St. Bridget of Kildare Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and student-centered Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a Christ-centered learning environment. The Teacher is responsible for fostering the spiritual, academic, social, emotional, and moral development of students while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

The ideal candidate is passionate about student learning, committed to educational excellence, and capable of creating a positive classroom environment that encourages academic achievement, faith formation, and personal growth.

Job responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with curriculum requirements and school expectations.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Differentiate instruction to support individual student growth and achievement.

Incorporate technology and innovative teaching practices to enhance student learning.

Assess student progress through formal and informal methods and provide timely feedback.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grades, attendance, and student performance.

Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.

Implement effective classroom management practices that promote responsibility, self-discipline, and positive behavior.

Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Support the social and emotional development of students through positive relationships and mentorship.

Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom and school activities.

Job requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Valid state teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification.

Strong instructional, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff.
