Advanced Practice Clinician Fellow, Hospital Medicine

• HealthPartners is offering a 12-month postgraduate fellowship program to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in hospital medicine with a targeted start date of January 2027.
• The HealthPartners Hospital Medicine Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship is designed to support new graduate APCs in their transition to practice or experienced APCs in their transition to a new specialty.
• The program provides comprehensive clinical and didactic experiences that foster competence and confidence in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care in the hospital setting.
• Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, developing differential diagnoses, formulating assessment and management plans, coordinating care, providing patient education and treatment, and engaging in all required educational opportunities.
• Clinical supervision and support are provided by attending physicians and APCs.
• Primary training sites include Regions Hospital or Methodist Hospital.
• Through diverse rotations, didactic lectures, simulations, and structured mentorship, APC fellows gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for a successful career in hospital medicine.

• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program Note: Applicants may be in final year of completing this requirement with hiring dependent upon successful completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior inpatient experience in clinical rotations strongly preferred Required Licensure/Certification: Current national certification by the NCCPA Current certification to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota
• or- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State of Minnesota Current national certification by the AANP, ANCC or AACN Current certification to practice as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota Note: Candidates are welcome to apply prior to having formal licensure and certification but must be obtained at least 3 months prior to start date of program.
