Provide individualized and small-group academic support within resource classroom settings. Monitor and document student progress using data-driven methods to guide instructional decisions. Design, implement, and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals. Establish a positive, structured learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence. Build strong partnerships with students, families, and school staff to promote academic and social-emotional development. Work alongside general education teachers to deliver inclusive, co-taught instruction in math and English Language Arts (ELA), ensuring accommodations and modifications meet student needs.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related discipline and maintain a current Illinois Professional Educator License with a Special Education endorsement, or have the ability to obtain licensure. Experience supporting elementary school learners is strongly desired, along with knowledge of inclusive co-teaching environments and self-contained instructional settings. Successful candidates will demonstrate effective classroom leadership, strong teamwork abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
