Transfer Credit Evaluation Evaluate official and unofficial transcripts and supporting academic documentation from accredited institutions for transferability and degree applicability. Determine course equivalencies and transfer credit awards in accordance with university policies, accreditation requirements, and established articulation agreements. Review and process non-traditional credit sources, including Advanced Placement (AP), CLEP, DSST, military education and training, prior learning assessment, certifications, and other approved learning experiences. Analyze course descriptions, syllabi, catalogs, and institutional accreditation information to determine appropriate transfer credit recommendations. Evaluate international academic credentials in accordance with university guidelines and approved evaluation resources. Systems and Records Management Maintain accurate transfer credit records within the student information system, articulation management platform, and related databases. Create, update, and manage course equivalencies and institutional transfer guides. Ensure compliance with university record-retention policies, FERPA regulations, and accreditation standards. Monitor evaluation workflows to ensure timely processing and communication of transfer credit decisions. Collaboration and Student Support Serve as a primary resource for students, faculty, staff, and external partners regarding transfer credit policies, procedures, and evaluation outcomes. Partner with Admissions and Enrollment teams to support prospective transfer students throughout the admissions process. Collaborate with academic departments to establish and maintain transfer equivalencies and articulation agreements. Communicate transfer credit decisions clearly and professionally to students and university stakeholders. Assist in the development of transfer credit resources, training materials, and communication strategies that improve the student experience. Continuous Improvement and Compliance Participate in the review and enhancement of transfer credit policies, procedures, and business processes. Stay informed of best practices, accreditation requirements, state regulations, and emerging trends related to transfer credit and prior learning assessment. Generate reports and provide data to support enrollment management, compliance reviews, and institutional planning. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and university committees as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Three or more years of professional experience in higher education, preferably in registrar services, admissions, transfer credit evaluation, academic advising, or student records. Experience interpreting academic records, curricula, policies, and degree requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
