The Preschool Teacher at Simon Says Early Childhood Center is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. The teacher implements age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while fostering a love of learning. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood education standards Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners Promote social-emotional development through guided play, routines, and positive behavior support Observe and assess student development, maintaining accurate records of progress Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and daily activities Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with staff and administration to support program goals and student success Support daily routines, including meals, rest time, and transitions

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or working toward degree) Prior experience working with preschool-aged children preferred Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early learning Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Ability to create a warm, patient, and supportive learning environment
