Chamberlain University is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant - Assistant Professor to join our new Phoenix Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to teach in various learning environments while contributing to the development of future healthcare leaders. Key Responsibilities: Teaching Excellence: Implement our College’s philosophy and curriculum through engaging classroom, online, and clinical teaching. Curriculum Development: Collaborate on didactic and clinical curriculum planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Course Coordination: Serve as a course coordinator or team instructor, managing both autonomous and shared teaching responsibilities. Student Engagement: Provide meaningful feedback to students, support their advising and counseling needs, and assist with remediation. Data Management: Help manage databases and evaluate data on student performance, faculty evaluations, national exam results, and more. Program Development: Participate in the review and revision of the program's mission and academic policies, and contribute to the admissions process. Professional Role Model: Serve as a mentor for students and faculty, promoting professionalism and collaboration within the College and community. Scholarly Activities: Engage in professional organizations to promote the PA profession and contribute to the continuous improvement of our programs.
Related Master's Degree or higher. Two years of full-time teaching experience or three years of clinical experience as a PA. Experientially prepared to teach assigned courses. NCCPA certified physician assistant (PA-C). Maintain current regulatory and practice credentials, as appropriate, based on assignment. Excellent communication skills, along with a high level of initiative and prudent judgment. Must meet all compliance requirements as specified in the Faculty Handbook. For those working within the clinical setting, additional compliance requirements are outlined in the faculty compliance packet.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $125,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
