Job Description

Youth F.O.R.C.E. Certified Teacher- GRANT

Responsible to: Club Director

General function

The Youth FORCE Program Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging academic and enrichment experiences that align with the Youth FORCE program’s Positive Youth Development (PYD) goals. This role supports middle school youth by improving academic achievement, fostering positive decision-making skills, and promoting resilience. The Teacher will design and implement lessons in reading, math, science, and social skills, facilitate project-based learning, and provide targeted academic support to help members achieve success in school and beyond.

The Youth FORCE Program Teacher should have strong classroom management and instructional skills, a passion for middle school youth development, the ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners, and excellent communication and organizational skills. Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Florida Teacher’s Certification, as well as an Emergency First Aid & CPR Certificate. Candidates must be able to teach in an informal, out-of-school environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, or a related field required. Current, expired, or temporary State of Florida teaching certificate required. Minimum one year of teaching experience.

  • Collaborate with the Success Coach to align academic instruction with Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
