Job description

$20 - $27 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:45 am-1:15 pm and 2:45 am-6:00 pm Location: 820 West McKinley Avenue Sunnyvale CA, 94086 Employee Referral Bonus

About the Role

The Lunch and After School Mandarin Teacher is a vital part of our school community, carrying out many of the duties necessary for the day-to-day operations of the campus. This position will work as part of a team to develop a plan of instruction appropriate for the elementary students in our immersion program. The emphasis will be on vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This person must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children. You will also Monitoring student behavior during meal service Plan and organize after-school arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities Assist students with homework Collaborate with other faculty and staff members Be responsible for the safe supervision and care of students Light sweeping, wiping down tables, and trash removal What We Are Looking For High school graduate or GED Prior experience working with children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and ability to connect with a variety of colleagues and students Must be fluent in English and Mandarin Be authorized to work in the U.S. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
