We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Social Worker to serve as a vital bridge between our students, their families, and our educational programs. In this role, you will act as a primary advocate for students with sensory and intellectual challenges, ensuring their psychosocial needs are met through expert consultation, family support, and multi-agency collaboration. You will work closely with the Education Director and multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive environment that fosters both student growth and family resilience. Key Responsibilities Family Support & Advocacy: Coordinate all family contacts, providing ongoing education, support, and referrals. Act as a primary advocate for students’ psychosocial needs. Clinical Consultation: Provide expert guidance to program staff and the Education Director regarding student well-being. Participate in case reviews and core evaluations. Collaborative Planning: Work alongside the Education Director to coordinate IEP meetings and transition planning (Personal Futures Planning/MAPS). Agency Liaison: Facilitate communication between the school and outside agencies (vision, hearing, vocational rehab, etc.) to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Crisis & Support Management: Facilitate communication regarding parent concerns, arrange campus visits, and assist in screening or evaluations for referred students. Administrative Excellence: Maintain precise records and statistical data; contribute to grant writing and staff in-service training as needed. Required Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Massachusetts.
Ability to work effectively with students who may exhibit aggressive behaviors.
