Education Floaters will emphasize nurturing and responsive practices, interactions and environments that foster trust and emotional security; are communication and language rich; promote social, emotional, behavioral, and language development and support all children’s engagement in learning experiences and activities. The Education Floater will be responsible for entering data into the Child Plus and ATI Galileo database, perform clerical tasks, and The Education Floater will assist the Curriculum Specialist and teaching team to:
Gather child assessments, parent teacher conferences, and home visits, review for accuracy, and enter information into the Child Plus database and share data appropriately with the Curriculum Specialist and Education Coordinator HSPPS 1302.00(a)(1(2) .
Assist in the planning of extracurricular activities, trainings, workshops and meetings 1302.92(a)(4).
Meet weekly with the Curriculum Specialist and participate in monthly meetings (HSPPS:1302.31, 1302.91.

Assist in recruiting volunteers and providing them with guidance 1302.53 (a)(iv).

The Education Floater will provide support to the teaching staff during an absence from the classroom, including both long-term and short-term leave when assigned by the Curriculum Specialist.
Work closely with the classroom Teacher or Teacher Assistant through a Planning Period outlined on the daily classroom schedule.

With collaboration with the Teacher or Teacher Assistant, implement curricular enhancements to include a social and emotional focus (Pyramid model) with science infused learning opportunities along with Positive Climate, Teacher Sensitivity and behavior management outlined in the Teachstone CLASS Classroom Organization and Emotional Support Domain. With the support of the Teacher and Teacher Assistant, in collaboration with each child’s parent and parental consent, obtain a current development screening to identify concerns regarding children’s development, behavioral, motor skills, language development, social and emotional skills, within 45 calendar days from a child’s enrollment. Work with the Teacher or Teacher Assistant to utilize assessment data to provide individualized instruction for each child and for groups of children HSPPS 1302.33(b)(1)

Qualifications
National CDA Preschool, or higher. Degree in Early Childhood Education or area out of field with 18 early childhood college credits preferred.
45 hours DCF training must be completed including the corresponding exams within the DCF allotted timeframe.
Must be able to effectively communicate information and ideas both orally and in writing.
Ability to lift children and objects up to 40 lbs.
Within two (2) months, complete the following coursework:
