The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides physical therapy, care, and rehabilitation for student athletes during practices and competitions. They are also responsible for educating athletes on injury prevention and supervising assistant trainers.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience are required. Candidates must also meet specific departmental certification and licensing requirements.

CORE JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides physical therapy to and aids in the care and rehabilitation of student athletes. Assists in the organization and administration of health care services and provides for the education and counseling of athletes. The incumbent attends athletic events to provide trainer care, offers advice on preventing injuries, and coaches athletic training classes.
