The Assistant Softball Coach will assist the head coach In coordinating all phases of a competitive NJCAA Division Ill Softball program. Including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, training, budget management, travel management, scheduling, rules and eligibility compliance, administrative duties, academic monitoring and program fundraising.
Has knowledge and background in the sport of softball.
Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the collegiate sports program.
Teaches sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics.
Supervises and conducts practices and contests safely, supervising locker rooms and buses.
Assists the head coach in carrying out his or her responsibilities.
• Accountable for personal actions on and off campus properties. Arrives early enough before practices, contests, and meetings to adequately prepare and remain long enough afterward to help players with problems or to become involved in staff discussions. Never critizes, or admonishes or argues with other coaching staff or any staff member within ears or eyes of players, parents, or fans. Stives to improve skills by attending clinics.

SERS - SERS (Retirement System Classification)
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Coaching or playing experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level is preferred.
