The teacher designs and implements standards-based, trauma-informed lesson plans to support the social and academic development of girls. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, conducting academic advising, and maintaining accurate documentation and gradebooks.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and an active Florida Department of Education teaching certificate or statement of eligibility. Knowledge of FLDOE Resiliency Standards and experience in trauma-informed youth environments are highly preferred.
The teacher role is for educators who have a commitment and passion for educating girls. Our year-round program, featuring small class sizes, provides multiple benefits to students and their families, as they receive wraparound support in education and social services.
Spirited Girls! is a class developed by Pace, to support girl development of develop soft skills, self-efficacy, confidence and life skills. The customized curriculum promotes learning around healthy development in each of these areas: Knowledge of Self, Development of Positive Attitudes, Relationships, Peer Pressure, Individual Responsibility, Decision Making, Problem Solving, Leadership Skills, Life Management Skills, Employability Skills and Career Planning.
