Description Licensed Lead PreKindergarten Teacher (4- & 5-Year-Old Classroom) Lake Area Discovery Center at Community of Grace Lutheran Church White Bear Lake, MN Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is hiring a Licensed Lead PreKindergarten Teacher to lead our engaging classroom of older preschool children (4- and 5-year-olds) at Community of Grace Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake. As a Lead Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to inspire young learners through hands-on, play-based learning while working alongside a supportive team of assistant teachers. You'll receive paid daily prep time and collaborate with experienced on-site and regional Lead Teachers to develop monthly curriculum, share classroom resources, participate in continuing education, and grow your leadership skills. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related education field Current Minnesota Teaching License (Birth–Grade 3, PreK–Grade 3, Elementary, or equivalent), or actively working toward Minnesota licensure Experience teaching preschool or PreKindergarten-aged children (ages 4-5) Strong classroom management and curriculum planning skills Ability to lead a classroom while mentoring and collaborating with assistant teachers Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and coworkers Commitment to creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment Ability to meet Minnesota DHS licensing requirements and successfully complete a background study
