Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to join our Havertown team. In this role, you will lead a preschool classroom (age 3), creating a structured, engaging environment that supports school readiness and encourages children to learn through play and exploration.
In this role, you will lead the day-to-day classroom activities, using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD to guide instruction and support each child’s development. Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. Lead daily classroom activities, including small group lessons and individualized support. Provide active supervision at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Observe and assess children’s progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD. Create and maintain an engaging classroom environment that support hands-on learning. Build strong relationships with children, families, and the Wonderspring team. Support and guide assistant teachers to keep the classroom running smoothly.
Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field required. Minimum 2 years of classroom experience in a preschool setting. Ability to work well as part of a team and be flexible as needed. Comfortable leading a classroom and supporting other teachers. Maintain professional and manage confidential information with care. Basic understanding of Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing requirements. Must meet all required clearances and health checks.
