The Instructor provides training and support to program participants to promote independence, community inclusion, and vocational skill acquisition. Responsibilities include planning daily enrichment activities and maintaining a conducive learning environment both in the center and the community.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities. Required certifications include CPR and First Aid, along with a valid driver's license and a good driving history to operate 15-passenger buses.
Salary will be $16.64 per hour Full-Time position working 35 hours per week The work schedule for this position is 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday We are currently seeking dynamic Full-Time Adult Day Training Instructor for our Adult Day Training (ADT) program in Palm Bay, Florida. The Instructor is responsible for providing training, support, and assistance to our program participants. The Instructor will plan and implement a variety of daily enrichment activities that promote independence, community inclusion, job training, vocational skill acquisition, and peer socialization, while enhancing personal life skill development and self-advocacy skills. Our program participants gain real world experiences daily that focus on life, employability, and community skills.

Provide instruction to prepare consumers for life skills and basic vocational training opportunities in the center and in the community Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of consumers Manage student behavior in the classroom and in the community Use technologies in the teaching/learning process Present a positive role model for consumers
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities Experience working with persons with disabilities on job skills training self-advocacy training, or daily living skills training, as well as assisting with personal needs such as monitoring behaviors CPR and First Aid Certification Ability to drive our 15-passenger, Non-CDL buses Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive our vehicles, as required, to drive and transport passengers for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
