The Paraprofessional implements educational programming and lesson plans according to Individual Education Plans. They facilitate classroom routines, work directly with students, and maintain daily documentation and attendance.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a Paraprofessional certification. Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and complex medical needs is required.

The Paraprofessional (Teacher Assistant) implements educational programming per the Individual Education Plan in compliance with CHC policies and procedures.
Facilitates student work and implements classroom routine. Implements lesson plans designed by teacher. Works directly with students, individually or in groups, on assigned programs Complete daily documentation Keeps classroom & equipment organized. Participates on education committees as assigned. Distributes classroom materials. Participates in field trips and special events. Participates in collaboration within the department and all other disciplines. Participates in quality improvement activities. Responsible for daily classroom attendance.
High School diploma or equivalent Paraprofessional certification is required Experience working with students with complex medical needs and intellectual disabilities. Ability to pass criminal background check and drug testing Experience working with various socioeconomic populations is a plus. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
