~NOW HIRING FOR THR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR~ The Universal Pre-K Teacher plays a vital role in providing a high-quality early childhood education experience for young children! They collaborate with program managers, administrative staff, and the Syracuse City School District to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum. The Teacher Will: Plan and delivers engaging lessons, Foster a safe and healthy learning environment, and actively engages with students to support their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Work closely with families, building positive relationships and ensuring open communication. With a focus on meeting the needs of all children, the Universal Pre-K Teacher contributes to the overall success and positive outcomes of the preschool program. This Position is Full Time, 10 Months a Year at 35 Hours a Week. Pay for This Position is $20.00 Per Hour.
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry: A two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six college credits is required. At least one year of experience working with children aged birth to 5 in a classroom or daycare setting. Licenses/Certificates/Clearances: NYS registry clearance is required. Skills/Abilities: Ability to effectively work and interact with children. Good interpersonal skills for building relationships with children and colleagues. Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with children, families, and team members. Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with other staff members. Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands: Manual dexterity is necessary to work with children and adults in a challenging and active environment. Mobility is required to attend meetings at clients' homes or community facilities that may not meet Federal accessibility standards for disabled individuals. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds may be required.
