  • This position works collaboratively with staff and families, follows all state licensing and safety regulations, participates in ongoing training and professional development, and provides classroom coverage as needed to support the changing needs of the center.

Knowledge/Experience

Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of principles of childhood growth and development required. Demonstrated ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory in daily activities, and adapt to the individual needs of infants required. Demonstrated decision and problem solving abilities. Ability to understand the ECLT routine when it comes to delivering a lesson plan and running the class in the event that the ECLT is absent on a particular day. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member collaborating with staff, families and community resources. Demonstrated ability to maintain respectful relations and communication with staff, families, children and community. Demonstrated ability to supervise infants and ensure a safe environment. Demonstrated ability to respond to events happening at all times in classroom, and outdoor play areas. Demonstrated ability to follow the ECLT tasks throughout the day. Ability to receive oversight and guidance from an onsite Lead Teacher or Director.

Education

This position must be at least 16 years old. High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or HiSET preferred.

License/Certification/Registry

  • Association: Heart Saver CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification required to be completed in first 30 days of employment and to be kept current thereafter.
