Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities to develop accurate diagnoses. Implement evidence-based therapies and maintain detailed documentation while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare providers.
Requires a degree in Speech Language Pathology and valid state licensure. Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results. Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
