Seeking an Educational Assistant to support teachers throughout their daily classroom activities inside and outside (recess/lunch) the classroom. Duties include helping schedule and implement programs in accordance with the curriculum as well as general classroom and clerical duties such as maintaining a clean and safe environment or printing and preparing educational material.
Essential Functions
Assist the teacher in preparing materials and equipment for direct instructional activity, including locating, copying, collating, distributing, and/or grouping materials to support instructional activities planned by the teacher.
Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced and outlined by the teacher.
Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground or field, and gymnasium.
Assist with bulletin boards and decorations for instructional purposes and for special events.
Perform assigned non-instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, trips to the bathroom, or class change.
Serve as a source of information and assist any substitute teacher assigned to the class.
Demonstrate ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in school environment and community.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with Principal, supervising teacher, students, parents, staff, and community.
Participate in professional learning activities which align with school improvement goals.
Participate in staff development opportunities provided by CHS as required.
Demonstrate a positive attitude toward work assignment.
Remain flexible in times of changing placement, delivery model (i.e. distance learning), or assignment.
Accept responsibility for the work assigned and accept constructive criticism.
Effectively observe assigned work hours.
Maintain a pattern of prompt and regular attendance.
Follow the daily schedule as prescribed.
Adjust to work assignments and/or schedule changes.
