The Academic Specialist is responsible for scheduling counseling appointments, providing counseling services to undergraduate students, and supervising graduate counseling interns. Additionally, they will develop educational sessions on mental health for faculty and staff.
Candidates must have a completed Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and the credential of Licensed Professional Clinical Supervisor with Supervision Status (LPCC-S). Knowledge and experience in counseling young adults and administering mental health assessments are also required.
An Academic Specialist will help to further Malone’s mission to provide students/clients with a counseling experience based on biblical faith in order to develop men and women in intellectual maturity, wisdom, and Christian faith who are committed to serving the Church, community, and world.
