Job Description

Radford University (RU) invites applications and nominations for Full-Time Temporary Faculty in the School of Social Work.

This is a nine-month position for the 2026-2027 academic year position, with an expected start date August 2026.

There is a possibility of renewal for up to three years, based on funding and performance.

Responsibilities include teaching 3-4 courses per semester in the BSW and MSW programs in both the Radford and Roanoke social work programs (in-person, online, evenings and/or weekends), advising, and possibility of committee work.

Professional contributions are encouraged.

Required Qualifications

MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and post-MSW social work practice experience, and experience teaching at the university level or conducting professional trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching BSW and MSW courses, and an ability to teach across the academic curriculum, including online teaching/use of educational platform or learning management system. LCSW certification. Advanced course work post-MSW, ABD, DSW, or Ph.D. in social work or a related field.
