We’re seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired who will provide expertise and collaborate on vision-specific program curricula and instruction for the Children's and Transition Program. This role will participate in and support the Children's/Transition Program and the values and mission of Lighthouse Central Florida (LCF) as a rehabilitation team member, and will maintain the confidentiality of program participants in accordance with State and Federal regulations. This role may also support IEP-related contracts within the community, travel to schools, and provide educational supports to students. What You’ll Do Be a part of a multidisciplinary team delivering vision rehabilitation services Impact the lives to youth who are blind or visually impaired Provide direct client support and assessments to our various youth programs and school contracts; which includes some nights and weekends Bring your knowledge and background to our program development QualificationsWhat You Bring Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field 2+ years’ experience working with individuals with visual impairments (or other disabilities) Passion for mission-driven work and improving lives
