Role Overview Looking for a rewarding Spring/Summer role or a year-round opportunity with flexible scheduling? The YMCA of the Lowcountry is seeking confident, engaging, and safety-focused Swim Instructors to deliver high-quality swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels. This role plays a critical part in promoting water safety, building confidence, and supporting the YMCA’s mission to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Multiple shifts are available, including morning, afternoon, and evening, as well as private lesson opportunities, based on your availability.
YMCA Swim Instructor certification (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe). CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications required (or ability to obtain upon hire within 30 days) Ability to demonstrate swim instructor competencies according to YMCA standards Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Commitment to YMCA mission, safety standards, and youth protection practices
