The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans in a Christ-centered environment to guide and educate young students. They must manage classroom behavior, conduct student assessments, and maintain professional communication with parents and staff.
Candidates must have an Associate or Bachelor's degree with specific credit hours in Early Childhood Education and a valid state certificate or equivalent. Proficiency in educational technology and the ability to pass background screenings and fingerprinting are required.

The Pre-K Teacher fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by guiding, inspiring, and educating students in a loving, Christ-centered environment. The Teacher is to be immediately responsible to the principal for the carrying out of policies of the school and the Archdiocese of San Antonio as they relate to the function of the school, the classroom, and the immediate contact with students and parents.
Education An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Associate degree or Bachelor's degree and 12 hours in Early Childhood Education courses. License and Credentials 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate, as outlined in the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department standards. Technology proficiency in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internet use for educational purposes and multimedia presentations. Demonstrated competency in the subject assigned area(s). Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening. Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening Minimum Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of subject assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team; Must have good written and verbal skills. Maybe required to work some weekends and nights.
