Provides instructional and classroom support in an early childhood education setting by assisting with lesson implementation, supervising children, fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment, and promoting students' social, emotional, and cognitive development. Collaborates with the lead teacher to support daily classroom routines and encourage positive learning experiences.
Must have High school degree (or equivalent) and be 18 years of age. Prefer previous experience in early childhood setting. Prefer certificate in First Aid and CPR. Must demonstrate dependability, maturity and flexibility. Must be in good health, free of contagious diseases and have record of up-to-date immunization. Must demonstrate nurturing skills with children, cooperativeness with adults and commitment to professional development. Must be able to maintain confidentiality while supporting the overall mission, values, and goals of Child Care of the Berkshires.
Substitutes for North Adams and Adams child care center will be scheduled as an on call basis.
Starting wage is $18.59/hour, commensurate with experience.
