Experience and Education Requirements Ideal candidates will have the following credentials and experience: An MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited institution is required. A doctoral degree in social work or a related field is preferred. More than five years of social work practice experience in the field and an academic setting will be considered. Experience in higher education is preferred which includes teaching, program development, and/or administration, including experience with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation standards. Currently licensed to practice social work in the state of Minnesota or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota is required. Preference will be given to candidates with LICSW/LCSW licensure Physical Demands Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
