About Our Early Intervention Department Our Early Intervention Department provides in-home developmental therapy and family support for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. We work alongside families to create meaningful, everyday learning experiences that help children grow and thrive. Our team collaborates closely with Tennessee’s Early Intervention System (TEIS) to ensure every child receives high-quality, individualized support in their natural environments, at home, in childcare, or in the community.
Progressive Directions, Inc. is seeking compassionate, experienced Early Interventionists to support families and young children (ages 0–4) with developmental delays or disabilities. You’ll coach and empower families in their natural environments—homes, childcare centers, or other community settings—to help each child reach their fullest potential.
Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies (child development), Early Intervention, Deaf Education, Visual Disabilities, Special Education K-12, Elementary Education, Communication Disorders, and Speech Language Pathology, along with experience with young children and/or people with disabilities, or Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Education Administration, or Sociology, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience with children with disabilities (0-5 years old) and their families Must have reliable transportation, as local travel is required Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
